1. Why do I need a manual ID check and how long will approval take?

Manual ID checks are being conducted for those clients who did not pass the automated check. You’ll be notified when this is completed, but this may take several days, so please bear with us. In the interim, we’ll send you a link to a Questionnaire we require to be completed before 22 October so that you can be added to the claim. Please look out for this in the coming days.

2. What does awaiting verification mean and what are the next steps?

Some accounts have not passed the automatic ID and Money Laundering checks which are necessary to become a client in litigation. Our team are manually checking the details which have been provided. If you’re awaiting verification this means that your ID checks are being carried out and you’ll hear from us as soon as we’ve finished this process.

10. Is it no win no fee?

Yes this is a no win no fee claim in relation to lawyers’ fees. A summary document can be found in the documents section of your Portal account. The position is if the claims lost you will not owe any money to the lawyers or funders.

Usually in litigation the losing party is ordered to pay the winning party’s costs. In this case the funder will indemnify you against the risk of having to pay the defendants’ costs if the case is lost. It will in turn insure its indemnity.
